________________________________________________________________________________

The students were rushing around them to go to the assembly ground. Some were casually passing by like they have all the time in this world and in between, the silence between the eye contact Tritha and Arsh were holding had more chaos than the corridor they were standing in.

Vedansh— who was shocked to see Arsh like this. The nonchalant and chill guy he always was nowhere to be seen. The pale face and that blank expression was more than enough to describe this situation. His eyes darted between the new girl and Arsh, he casually shrugged his shoulders, asking under his breath. Slightly leaning towards Arsh so he couldn't properly hear it. "Kya ho gaya bhoot dekh liya kya chal naa.."

No response.

Both of them were frozen, no one blinked. His mind was blank, eyes were filled with hurt and.. Longing. They traced every bit of her facial features with familiarity. Tritha, on the other hand was reeling from their unexpected meeting, she wanted to say something but all her words dried inside her throat.

Vedansh let out a frustrated sigh, muttering under his breath. "Takkar kya kha gaya sayad woh ek brain cell bhi nikal gaya iska.." he shook Arsh's shoulder now— roughly to grab his attention. Leaning towards his ear, without any second of hesitation. Vedansh loudly spoke, "meri baagi mera ghoda Arsh na hila toh woh—" Arsh immediately snapped out of his thoughts pushing him, "iski bhes ki—"

"What are you two doing here?" Raahi's firm and curious voice cuts through the air making all three snap their heads at them.

Vedansh and Arsh straightened themselves, Vedansh was glaring at Arsh, while he was still glancing at Tritha in utter shock.

Raahi sighed, "you two, go to the assembly ground. Everyone has already stood according to their class lines.." her eyes then shifted to Tritha who was cluelessly looking at her. "..and you?"

Tritha looked at her for a second before replying. "I am Tritha.. I am new here. I was just looking for my class."

Raahi nodded. "Which class?"

"11th science" Tritha calmly replied.

Raahi stepped forward, a soft and warm smile appeared on her lips. "Hi.. I am Raahi, we are in the same class, let me take you there.." she turned back to look at the boys, "Vedansh you are the monitor at least do your job properly and dono jao jaldi varna bahar khada karenge Tripathi sir"

Just as she was about to turn, Arsh asked. "Aur tu, tujhe nahi bolenge kuch?" Vedansh agreed. "Haan vahi.."

Raahi rolled her eyes before replying softly. "Buddhu! Bolke aayi hoon unko main bach jaungi tum dono jao"

Vedansh and Arsh at the same time passed her a disgusted look. Arsh shrugged. "Discrimination!"

"Hame toh bina baat ke bhi khada karte hain aur ladkiyo ko chod dete hain" Vedansh complained before draping his arm over Arsh's shoulder. "Chal bhai inke maze hain" Arsh nodded in misery.

Raahi chuckled, as she stepped beside Tritha to guide her towards their class. Tritha joined her, as they were walking towards the class she turned her head back to look at his disappearing figure only to find Arsh's gaze was on her only. He was just being dragged by Vedansh but mentally his mind was filled with questions.

Their eyes met— almost like time has frozen but both of their friends asked, snapping out of their thoughts.

"What happened? Why did you stop?"

Both of them snapped their heads at their friends, murmuring before passing a last glance at each other. "Nothing... "

Vedansh rolled his eyes but ignored the topic for now. "Pagal.. Chal jaldi!" he exclaimed before dragging Arsh down the corridor.

"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to be nervous, everything will be fine. You will make great friends here" Raahi said softly, her voice filled with warmth in it. Tritha looked at her, lips curling up almost into a nervous and hesitant smile. She looked into her eyes which were silently reassuring her that it will be fine. She somehow felt safe in this unknown place especially after the crash she had with Arsh.

"I am fine, thank you.." she said in gratitude.

Raahi smiled, "let's go.. Fir assembly mein bhi jana hain" Tritha nodded before walking beside her to the class.

..

Over on the assembly ground class 12th was preparing and practicing for their specific items they were about to perform. Everyone was busy with their own work. When a loud and sharp voice cuts through the bright and turmoil morning around them.

"What is this? What are you having long nails?" Payal snapped at Anusha while checking uniform. Her voice was sharp and loud enough to make everyone hear it around.

Payal Gupta— the school nurse also a member of the school council. The discipline in charge no one wanted but unfortunate enough to get one.

Anusha's eyes narrowed, she looked down to check her nails; they were barely long. Her mouth twitched in annoyance, she was about to reply something bluntly when her gaze shifted to Shaarv and Ashwin behind her who were shaking their heads— practically begging her not to reply to anything she would get into trouble for as they were near the stage preparing for their assembly.

Meanwhile, Kaaya and Kaavish were grinning. They were practicing for the special program, too busy to even notice everything around but as soon as they heard the comment, and like two shameless people they were encouraging her to match with Payal mam.

Ashwin glanced at them, murmuring in a low voice to Shaarv. "Kon bolega head boy aur head girl hain ye dono.."

Shaarv nodded while glancing between both of them. "Vese toh ek dusre ka khoon karne ke liye ready rehte hain abhi dekho.."

"Yaar bas Anu kuch bole na bechari fas jayegi.." Ashwin murmured quietly, his gaze fixed on Anusha's face.

Shaarv elbowed him, "ghoor mat ese.."

"Hey, you shameless girl? Answer me why are you having long nails?" Payal again asked her in her sharp and high pitched voice.

Anusha's head snapped from the group at her, annoyance written over her face. Controlling the urge to snap at her, she politely replied, stretching each of her words. "mam ye normal length hain and these aren't even an inch long.."

Payal crossed her arms, she shot back in a mocking tone. "So you will argue now? See this is the problem of your generation, zero etiquettes. Short of character and what's with that skirt, why is it above the knee length? Is this a fashion show? You all girls are so shameless, always seeking attention from the boys."

The group behind froze for a second, Revaan who was on the stage, checking everything was perfect before the assembly started. All of their palms clenched into a tight fist anger written over their face at Payal's statement, she blunted out so openly.

Anusha stood there with a frustrated expression now. She snapped, unable to handle criticism. "Mam first of all you can't call a girl characterless like that and what do you mean that I am seeking guys attention. Firstly, I don't come here to check that and maybe you should better teach guys to behave then to question a girl's character."

Kaaya who couldn't take her comment, stepped in beside Anusha. Her voice was sharp like a dagger. "Exactly, mam you just can't say like this. Do you even know how shameful it is that you, being a woman, are calling out others like this."

Payal's face was indeed turning red, she snapped her fingers at both the girls. "You two girls are extremely shameless, especially this hair pin girl. Who made you the head girl?" She snapped at Kaaya.

Before this could continue, the guys standing behind spoke in opposition. "Mam you can't insult someone like this, it's highly objectionable especially a girl, she is the head girl because of her exceptional qualities and not because of her hairpins.." Shaarv spoke, his jaw tight but he respected the boundaries between a teacher and a student. His voice was firm, loud enough to be clear.

Revaan standing on the stage instantly snapped. "Mam you can't just humiliate her like that, you have no right to do that."

Payal turned her gaze to him, brows knitted. She looked back at the boys. "You four, stop standing for these shameless girls. I perfectly know what they do to get attention."

"You are definitely the wrong one here! Do you even know what you are saying and just to be clear they are our friends." Kaavish said in frustration, his eyes drifted to Kaaya for a second before his head turned in the direction of Payal.

Payal narrowed her brows, she mocked. "You don't have to clear things. I know girls, how they are..." she pointed at Anusha. "Especially her, always engaged in extra curriculars to seek attention."

When she was about to move away Ashwin spoke, his voice firm eyes burning. "It's her personal choice, mam. She can engage herself in whatever activity she likes, her choices matter.."

"So now you will—"

Before she could continue further with her bitter words a sharp and firm voice cuts through the tension. "What's happening here?"

Everyone looked at the direction where the voice was coming from only to see their Co-Class Teacher, Alisha Dixit— English teacher by profession and a diva by choice.

Payal's expression shifted, her strict demeanor completely changed as it turned into a calm one. "It's nothing like that mam, I was just explaining to them some basic etiquettes.."

Alisha raised an eyebrow, looked at the students around her who were pointing at Payal with a side glance at them. Anusha the most carefree one out of them, she met Alisha's gaze, a slight pout on her lips as she pointed down at her skirt then back at Payal.

Alisha nodded lightly— almost unnoticed. Clearing her throat she met Payal's gaze who instantly looked away at Anusha. Her voice was sweet but eyes were throwing daggers. "Beta.. it's okay just take care—"

"No need." Alisha snapped, cutting her off, gaining everyone's attention. Without missing a beat she spoke sharply. "First of all you are not the class teacher here and you have no right to scold my students especially not because of their uniform.."

"Mam—"

She raised her palm shutting her up, "no.." she continued, her voice turning more sharp and cold. "..listen to me Mrs Gupta very carefully, they are my students, they will do whatever they wish to do and I don't mind until they actually cross any boundaries..." her voice turned slightly mocking. ".. so step back respectfully, I know them better."

Ashwin and Shaarv looked at her in respect, quietly nodding in agreement. Meanwhile, Kaavish, Kaaya, Anusha and Revaan suppressed their laughs looking up in the air and everywhere except at Payal's face which had turned red in frustration.

Payal straightened herself before replying in a bitter tone, "You are not their class teacher so I have every right to point them out."

Alisha's expression turned calm, she scoffed, fixing her hair casually. "Just to remind you, it's my husband's class so I definitely have more rights than you." Without waiting for another reply she walked past her to the group standing there and started to check the morning assembly scripts for the items to be performed as a part of their regular assembly.

Payal's jaw dropped at the ignorance, she inhaled deeply glaring at the students who were busy with Alisha. She was throwing daggers until Alisha turned her head around to meet her gaze— she replied in complete calmness. "You can leave Mrs Gupta and better check your class." Her voice, calm yet mocking.

She smiled, meeting her gaze in utter annoyance, and looked around at the students who were sniffling their laughs with the last glare she left.

Kaaya was the first one to break the silence, "she is so annoying" she spoke in a bitter tone. Anusha joined— irritation and disgust written all over her face. "I know right, God knows what's her obsession with someone's skirt, nails and hair.."

Ashwin nodded, "I agree.. for some reason she loves pointing out students like that.. These all don't even matter" his voiced a complaint only to find everyone looking at him with raised eyes.

Everyone was acting calm sniffling their laughs as they pressed their lips tightly while Alisha and Anusha looked at him in confusion. "Dear, I don't think you wear a skirt neither will she point you out for your hair or nails.." Alisha replied in amusement.

Ashwin who was clearly lost in his own thoughts realised what he said, he met everyone's teasing gaze before he met Alisha's amused eyes and Anusha's confused look. He shifted slightly, his ears and cheeks burning as he looked down at the ground unable to meet their gaze.

"I– I didn't mean like that.." he stammered.

Alisha asked in curiosity. "Then what do you mean Ashwin?"

Kaavish nudged his arms. "Haan.. haan batao"

"Vahi batao" Revaan joined. Both of them erased earning a glare from Ashwin. He met Alisha's gaze. "Mam... it's just.. I mean–"

Kaaya coughed, unable to control her laugh. Alisha was still looking at him in amusement, she looked at his friends until a slight realisation drew over her face. She cleared her throat before replying in a calm and slight teasing tone. "Okay leave it, students.. Now tell who is performing in pairs.. Ashwin, are you paired with Anusha for the special item?"

Ashwin's ears and cheeks burned more, he certainly couldn't meet Anusha's eyes, slightly looking up at Alisha he shook his head. Anusha— the confused soul replied. "No mam.. I am paired with Kaaya for the news"

"Ye– yes mam," Ashwin nodded, looking away.

Alisha nodded— teasingly. She calmly replied. "Oh my mistake.. It's okay you both can pair next whenever you have your next assembly.. And now just get on the stage the assembly is about to start."

"Okay mam" they replied in chorus before getting on the stage for their assembly.

The assembly started, the choir started with the prayer. Everyone closed their eyes singing the prayer with hands joined. The atmosphere filled with calmness and the melody of the musical instruments enhanced the song with its tune.

As the assembly continued after the prayer. It was followed by the pledge Revaan prepared. His posture was straight— voice firm, eyes fixed on the students, then Kaavish's 'thought of the day'. He was anything like Revaan, shameless him— he was glancing at Kaaya while speaking only to earn a sharp glare from her. He smirked but continued his thought.

Then followed by Anusha's and Kaaya's news. Then came the special item of the day. Shaarv and Ashwin stood in front of the mics. They started. Both of their voices were firm, as they spoke on the topic of 'Science and Technology' as they were asked to.

"Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends." Shaarv spoke— his voice calm and confident. He continued, "Earth is the cradle of humanity, but one cannot live in a cradle forever." These prophetic words by Konstantin Tsiolkovsky resonate louder today than ever before. We are no longer just looking up at the stars in wonder; we are reaching out to touch them. Today, I stand before you to speak on a topic that is reshaping our existence—Space and Technology..."

As both the boys spoke somewhere in the assembly ground— Shivika was looking at the stage with full excitement and her eyes sparkling in admiration. She murmured in excitement. "Kaju! Kaju!"

Aina standing behind her in the line, she rolled her eyes carefully looking around to check if anyone was looking at her or not. She slapped her shoulders trying to calm her sudden excitement. "Oee.. chup ho jaa meri uchalti billi! Assembly mein hain ham.."

Shivika frowned, "chup reh naa.." she hissed leaning back slightly before looking at the stage, her gaze softened as she admired him speaking— almost memorising him. ".. he looks so majestic.."

Aina rolled her eyes as she muttered under her breath. "Khud pyaar mein pagal hain aur mujhe ese harkato se kar degi.."

But, Shivika her gaze was fixed on his face. She never desired her just was always there as his loud admirer.

And, even when everyone called her stupid for chasing a person who was never into all these things. She was still there— not waiting, just existing.

As the assembly wrapped, the students on the stage were about to get down casually moving unhurried. Kaavish who was helping some students with the musical instruments to get inside. He was focused but half of his mind was stuck in the thoughts of Kaaya.

He helped them to keep the instruments inside the music room and was returning back to his class when Kaaya stopped him just outside the class.

She tightly slapped his arm, snapped. "What's your problem, Ahuja?"

He looked at her— his gaze was filled with affection yet he instantly buried it behind his mischief eyes. He smirked, mocked. "What's my problem?"

She passed him a sharp glare, pointed her finger at him. "You clearly know."

"Do I?" he asked— calmly hiding back the urge to smile at how cute she looks when she is angry.

"Yes!" she shot back.

Kaavish shrugged, he raised his hand towards her forehead before he flickered her forehead lightly. "Mehra, I think you should chill out a bit.. Itna gussa vese bhi sehat ke liye hanikarak hain" he replied back calmly with a mocking edge in his tone.

Kaaya instantly yanked his hand away, sharply exclaimed. "Esa marungi na saari bahaduri yahi nikal jayegi!"

He chuckled, challenging. "Maaro darta hoon kya"

Before she can accept his challenge, a loud and heavy voice cuts through the air.

"Bahar kya bandara baat raha hain?"

They both looked at the direction of the voice only to find Ritesh Singh— their strict maths teacher and the helpless husband of Alisha Dixit. Kaavish looked at him in amusement while Kaaya cleared her throat before they both greeted him. "Good morning sir"

Ritesh came closer to them with a strict and hardened expression. He gruffed. "Kya kar rahe ho.. Andar chalo"

"Kuch nhi sir" they both replied sharing a glare with each other. "Haan toh nachne ke liye khade ho kya bahar" Ritesh scolded

They sheepishly shook their heads and turned to walk inside the class muttering insults to eachother under their breaths.

"Gadhe baache" Ritesh scoffed under his breath before Alisha passed him flipping her hair to her class, she turned back to pass him a glare as she definitely heard him. He gulped before entering the class to teach, maintaining the strict maths teacher he was.

...

As the students in class 10th were making a mess all around in the first period itself as their social teacher was taking too long to come in the class. Some students were making paper planes and flying them across the class, a few students eating their lunch in the first period itself. Others completed their homeworks in a hurry with scribbled handwriting.

Somewhere in this mess and chaos happening around. Aina and Ivaan were usually arguing. Shivika the helpless soul between them she exclaimed. "Shut up! Kabse bakwas kar rahe ho"

Aina scrunched her face to look at her while Ivaan rolled her eyes pointing at Aina. "mujhe kya bol rahi hain iss mendak ko bol!"

Aina's eyes snapped at him, she instantly pointed at Ivaan. "Aur tu is nevle ko!" she snapped.

Shivika closed her eyes in frustration before she pulled both of them down, making them sit on their respective seats. "Dono shanti se baitho aur hamara dimag mat kharab karo pata nhi kiss janam ki dushmani nikal rahe ho!" she scolded, making them pass her an annoyed.

Shivika rolled her eyes before sitting beside Aina. A moment silence passed through the trio where two of them were passing daggers to each other. When, Shivika suddenly spoke in excitement. "Aree!! Are!! Suno!"

Both of their heads turned to find her flustered and shy. Ivaan raised his brows while Aina stared at her in amusement. "Bhauk!"

Shivika pouted slightly at her tone, she murmured—almost like a complaint. "Yaar pyaar se bhi toh bol sakti hain naa"

"Acha pyaar se?" Aina asked and found Shivika nodding. Aina's eyes filled with mischief she took her hands in hers, leaned in slightly. "Baby bataiye kya hua"

"CHII!!" Ivaan screamed in horror standing up from his seat, gaining everyone's attention. They looked at him in confusion, Shivika and Aina instantly pulled him down at his seat. "Pagal hain kya!!" they both whisper yelled at him.

Ivaan looked around at the students who were still confused. He ignored them as they eventually got back into their works. He shrugged both of their hands away in disgust. "Main pagal hoon? Aur tum dono.. Bhool jate ho kya ladka hoon main" he exclaimed.

Shivika and Aina raised their brows then looked at each other and broke into laughter holding their stomachs. Ivaan's brows, knitted. "Kya hua?"

They both wiped the slight tears that escaped her eyes, tried sniffling their laughs but couldn't. "Aree batao toh!" he demanded.

Shivika somehow managed to speak, "trust me tu hamari babygirl hain, jaan!" Aina nodded.

Ivaan's eyes widened, he passed them a deadpan expression as they were still laughing. He crossed his arms over his chest, jaw tightened. "Ghar pe nikki didi ek toh behen banake apne armaan pure karti hain aur abb ye dono.." he muttered under his breath with a hardened expression.

"Aree bura mat maan.." Aina laughed. "Vahi bhai nahi hain!" Shivika coxed.

Ivaan glared at them, mimicking, "'bhai nahi hain'..." he pointed at Shivika. ".. tu! Shaarv bhaiya ne bola hain ladkiyo se tameez se rehne ko isiliye bach rahi hain.. Meherbani unki" his gaze shifted to Aina, he passed her an annoyed look. "Aur tu mendak jyada has mat! Nadi mein fek dunga.."

Aina's laughs tried in her throat, she snapped her fingers at her, instantly her voice turned sharp and she shot back. "Aur tu nevla.. Kutta! Suna nhi bhaiya ne bola hain ki ladikiyo se tameez se baat karne ko–"

Ivaan's lips curled up into a smirk as she easily got riled up. He further mocked cutting her off. "Ladkiya bola tha bhaiya ne mendak nhi" his voice was casual as she got more pissed off, before she could snap something up. Shivika waves her hands between them.

"Bas mere ladaku vimano abb meri baat suno!" she imposed, making them roll their eyes but they eventually agreed, still passing each other daggers through their eyes.

Shivika ignored them, her chubby cheeks turning rosy pink expression flustered making them amused. She tucked a loose strand behind the back of her ear. "Woh actually.." she looked up at them with excitement. "You know.."

Ivaan yawned, "tu bolegi tab pata lagega" he replied casually earning a glare from Shivika. Aina rolled her eyes, she encouraged. "Tu bol chhod isko"

She nodded and spoke in shyness and slight excitement that was bubbling inside her. "You know! Kaju liked my story yesterday.. I think he is falling for me!"

Aina's eyes widened, she immediately chimed in excitement. "Falling?" leading more into her bubble. "I think he is definitely in love with you!"

Shivka looked into her eyes asking for reassurance, Aina nodded mindlessly. "Yes! Yes! He is in love with you, Shivi!"

Shivika the love blinded soul agreed on her point, she squeaked in her seat. "Ahh! Kaju likes me!"

"He loves you!" Aina corrected.

Ivaan sitting behind them, blinked— gazing at them with an annoyed expression. He scoffed, casually interrupted. "Ohh woh kal vali story.. Woh toh mene like ki thi Shaarv bhaiya ki I'd se woh meri glitch kar rahi thi naa.." he chuckled playfully, hitting her head. "Pagal nibbi kahi ki"

Both the girls immediately froze, Shivika's smile turned into a blank expression. Aina glared at him. Without any second thought they both slapped him from both the sides.

"Kitna bura hain tu!" S hivika exclaimed.

Aina nodded, joining. "Nevla kahi ka"

"Aeee" he yelped, backing away. "Maar kyu rahe!"

Aina was the first one to act upon. "Bohut mazak karna hai na.." she raised herself up— leaning at him and instantly grabbed his hair. "Nevla bohut maze aa rahe hain na.." Shivika's eyes widened for a second. She forgot what just happened— before she could stop either of them he too grabbed her braid. "Bola tha na tujhe mene mendak! Baal mat pakad"

She tightened her grip, hissed. "Pakadungi kya karega, pakoda aadmi!"

"Tu pakodi baal chhod mera" he shot back trying to escape from her hold but she anyways tightened it.

"Tu chhod phele!"

"Nahi tu!"

She snapped, pulling him more"Bola na chhod!"

Ivaan pulled her braid more, the ribbon loosening around her hair. "Toh tu chhod na, mendak!"

She instantly left his hair and slapped him. "Mendak mat bula mujhe, nevle" she snapped sharply.

He picked up the copy kept on the table, raised it up in the air above her head, "tu mujhe nevla bula sakti hain..." he shot back before hitting the notebook on her head— it wasn't even a hard one, just a soft hit that barely flinched any of her hair. "..aur main tujhe mendak nahi bula sakta!"

"Nahi!" she snapped, tying up her ribbon. "Pagal pure baal kharab kar diye pata hain kitna time lagta hain!" she complained.

Ivaan fixed his hair, moving his fingers through his strands. "Khud ne bhi kara hain jo.. Sakal dekhi hain! Mendak meri bhi kharab kar di.."

She passed him a glare, murmuring sarcastically. "Haan agla sharukh khan toh yahi hain!"

He fixed his collar— as he flexed with a smug smile. "Haan toh hoon main agla—"

"CHUP HO JAO DONO!" Shivika burst out— the whole time during their fight she was palming her face with extreme irritation, clearly regretting her life for once. The whole class was already looking at them with amusement, some whispering among themselves.

"Tu—"

Shivika exclaimed in frustration. "Chup bola na!!"

With a last glare they both shut up their mouths glancing at Shivika who was looking at them in exhaustion. "Roz ka ho gaya chup raho dono bas abb!"

She continued scolding them, "pata nhi konsi dushmani nibha rahe ho!" her gaze found the students looking at them. "Kya? Bigg boss chal raha hain yaha"

They all gulped, shaking their heads, "toh kam karo na sakal kya dekh rahe ho hamari!.. Aur sir ko bula ke lao koi!" she exasperated.

"Absent hain woh toh" From the middle bench of the corner row Ankit replied while making another paper plane.

Shivika got up from her seat in frustration. "Haan toh bolna nahi hain kisi ko!" she walked over to stand there in front of the class, she commanded in her sharp voice. "Baitho sare shanti se!"

"Arey!" they all groaned but eventually sat down, sulking. "Arrangement kiska hain?" she asked.

Ankit leaned back casually, "hoga kisi ka hame kya—" his words turned into a wince as she threw a small chalk piece towards him. "Toh andhe ho kya sundar ladkiya dikh jati hain par arrangement nahi dikhta!" she sharply retorted as everyone broke into laughter just they all were laughing as their maths mam— Sneha Sharma, entered the class. "What's happening here?"

They all froze, their gaze shifting at the clock above the blackboard, the first period still remaining to get over. "Mam, is it your arrangement?" Shivika asked respectfully.

Sneha looked at her through her glasses with a hard expression written all over her face as she walked inside the classroom with her water bottle and a reference book. She kept it over the table before replying, "no, I asked for this period from your Tripathi sir.." everyone groaned under their breaths, their eyes shifting to Shivika. She understood the assignment. "Mam.." she calmly started hoping she would melt.

She fixed her glasses, sharply piercing her soul before speaking. "Shivika, go back to your seat. Now."

Her expression turned into an annoyed one, she mimicked the whole way back to her seat as Sneha picked up the chalk and walked over to the blackboard. She turned to write a question, "and stop favouring these idiots, they know nothing, now everyone takes out a pin page. I will take the test." Her voice was cold and sharply making everyone groan.

"What?" she snapped, turning back to look at them, "vese bhi 5th period mein dena thaa abhi dedo" her voice— calm yet firm before she again turned back to write the question.

In the backside of the class. "Padh ke aaye dono?" she asked, tearing a page from her notebook. Shivika nodded, "yeah, do baar revise kiya hain.."

Ivaan sitting behind them, scoffing casually, replied adjusting his collar with pride. "Huh!.. Padhte woh hain jinko bhagwan pe bharosa nahi hota, puri Hanuman Chalisha padhi hain dekhta hoon kon fail karta hain"

Both the girls— laughed in a low voice, "toh bhagwan jab dimag baat rahe the toh tu so gaya tha kya" Aina mocked, making him narrow his brows. "Oee jyada mat bol maar dunga mein"

"What's happening in the backside?" Sneha's sharp voice cuts through the silent class, Aina and Ivaan froze. They shook their heads. "Nothing mam" they both murmured before focusing back on their works.

..

The bells rang loudly during the recess, students running through the corridors making the silent hall turn into a chaotic scene. Some walked down the stairs with their lunch boxes towards the ground, others were arguing over in the corner of the corridor. Two random classes arguing over duster.

Niharika was there walking through the crowd towards the canteen area, murmuring. "Vese toh roz har do minute mein char baar dikh jate hain.. Mene school kya chhoda inhone timetable hi badal liya.."

As she was walking she found Shaarv, Revaan and the whole group sitting in the open area, she walked over to them. Kaaya and Kaavish were, as usual, arguing over something stupid. While Revaan and Anusha were measuring their foot sizes.

Meanwhile, Shaarv and Ashwin were having a serious conversation, "but I really don't think it was there in the morning" Shaarv said after deeply thinking.

Ashwin nodded, "main bhi subah gaya tha.. there was nothing left behind"

Niharika silently walked before she tapped Shaarv's shoulder. He turned around— his eyes instantly widened. "Didi aap yaha?.." he asked in disbelief.

"Aree woh ek naya professor aaya hain aur aake bolta apni 11th ki marksheet kee aana kal toh isliye aayi" she explained before sitting beside Revaan.

"Aur batao kya chal raha hain?" She asked casually, grabbing a bite from his brother's lunch. Everyone looked up at her except for Kaaya and Kaavish. Her brows raised towards the other four members standing there.

They all sighed heavily— almost annoyed. "Kisi ne kisi ka sayad pen le liya hain" Shaarv spoke, glancing at them before he sat beside Anusha.

"Aree pen nahi liya Kaavish ne Kaaya ki notes vali copy kahi chupai thi aur aab mil nahi Rahi" Anusha casually explained completely unbothered. Ashwin instantly agreed. "Haan yahi hua hain!"

Niharika looked at them in amusement, especially at Ashwin who unknowingly showed his excitement. Revaan was completely unbothered in this scene, he quietly grobbled a paratha, murmuring to her, "hamse mat puchiye aap ye dono subah se kisi baat pe laad rahe hain aur mein Kaavish ko chup karwane ka try Kiya nahi mana.. aur Kaaya toh rehne hi doo..."

He further continued glancing at them, "bhagwan jane kya pyaar hain ek dusre se"

Niharika and the others laughed, she commented. "Kalesh karne se pyaar badhta hain!" She exclaimed, glancing at them a bit louder this time. They both heard it, of course.

Kaavish was the first to turn back to look at her, he smirked— agreeing and extended his hands for a high five. "Vese baat toh sahi hain!"

She accepted it cheerfully, but Kaayaa tilted her head, glaring at Kaavish. "Bohut maza aa raha hain!" She sarcastically mocked.

"Haan aa raha hain!" He grinned.

She shot back without missing a beat, "what's your problem, huh? Pura din pareshan karte ho, gandi naali ke keede ki tarah!"

His eyes narrowed, smirk vanishing. "Aee gandi naali ka keeda kya hota hain!?" He exclaimed.

"Tum hote ho!" She snapped, pushing him away. He barely flinched back and grabbed his water bottle which was already open.

Everyone's eyes widened, they were about to stop them when Revaan exclaimed in exhaustion, "khatam kar do!" He pointed at a stone nearby a wall. "Woh uthao aur maar dalo! Tum dono paak nahi gaye kya subah se ladte hue!!" Everyone stopped their tracks breaking down into a faint smile but Kaavish and Kaaya were in no mood to back out.

He snapped, with narrowed eyes at his friends. "Tujhe kya tu bhi laad le.. aur apni behen ko bol!"

Her brows knitted, she threw the small bottle cap towards him, "teri sunu abb me, kutte! Itne bure din aa gaye mere" she yelled.

Before it could hit Revaan's head he caught it and kept it on the table. Their lunch opened yet unnoticed. "Dekha tu hain ki chudail! Bas ladna aata hain"

"Aur tu bohut jyada attitude dikha raha naa bhai hone ka!" She snapped standing up from her seat.

Revaan followed, pointing his fingers at her, "yahi! Yahi teri problem hain baat toh sunti nhi kisi ki bas apna chalana aata hain bas!"

"Tu—"

Before she could further continue their argument was cut by another sharp retort. Everyone's head snapped towards the direction where Shivika was trying to stop Ivaan and Aina from arguing.

They walked over to them, Revaan and Kaaya were still on the verge to begin the argument but their gaze was fixed on their direction. On the seat, Anusha, Niharika and Kaavish were now eating lunch, gaze fixed on the arguments happening all around.

Niharika grinned, "ye sahi hain free ka entertainment bhi ho gaya!"

"Henaaaaaaa" Anusha joined. Kaavish nodded, eating the sandwich from his lunch.

"Yaar chup ho jao dono hamara sar phat Raha hain!" Shivika spoke in frustration as she sat beside Niharika in amusement and confusion.

"Nahi fire and ice mein symbolism use hua hain!" Aina yelled.

Ivaan took a step closer, slightly towering over him, "gawar hain kya.. Simile use hua hain!"

"Tu hoga gawar, nevle!!" she snapped, pushing him away.

Kaavish and Niharika looked at them in excitement, Anusha enjoying the scene while eating her lunch, Revaan and Kaaya were seated on the table looking at them with amusement.

Shaarv and Ashwin looked at them in horror, slapping their heads. "Yaar ek shuru hota hain toh dusra bolne ladne lagta hain.." Shaarv exhaled, glancing at them, Ashwin nodded. "Haan vahi yaar.. Sare kalesh paglu log hain.." before he could say further Anusha stuffed him a piece of her paratha and pulled him down.

"Shant reh aur kalesh dekh" she playfully ordered while looking back at the scene. Ashwin froze, the paratha was left stuffed inside his mouth, his ears turning red, eyes wide open staring at her who was focusing on the fight unaware how this friendly and stupid gesture had made him go insane inside his mind.

Shaarv noticed it, he clicked his tongue shaking his shoulder— leaned down slightly to murmur in a low voice to him. "Abbe mat ghoor ise pagal lag raha hain.."

Ashwin stiffed slightly, straightening himself, he composed himself slightly looking at the argument while he finally chewed the food she stuffed inside his mouth. Shaarv exhaled, shaking his head.

Meanwhile— by the time this was happening, Arsh and Vedansh who were just passing from there noticed their fight and how the group was looking at them with excitement to continue.

Ivaan shot back in pride. "Oh! Mendak sii.. Sab aata hain mujhe.."

She looked at him in amusement, one of her brows raised, "acha toh fir shok manane ko english mein kya bolte hain?" she calmly asked.

The environment around them fell silent as the group looked at him— waiting for an answer. Ivaan chuckled— proudly fixing his collar. "Huh.. gawar kahi ki condomlens bolte hain.. Aayi badi mendak si"

Shaarv and Ashwin coughed— completely embarrassed while everyone's eyes widened, Niharika murmured. "Kaash mummy papa ne bhi use kiya hota ese namune lo lane se pehle.." she looked at him with a stern expression. She got up and slapped his head, exclaiming. "Condolence hota hain, navi fail!"

Ivaan was about to argue but his gaze looked around at everyone who were looking at him in amusement. Arsh leaned in slightly. "Condolence hi hota hain woh.."

He instantly looked away, a beat passed when he shrugged his shoulders— still confident. "Huhh toh.." he fumbled slightly, fixed his collar and spoke casually trying to get off this topic. "Toh.. I mean.. I was just checking ki aap log ko kitna aata hain.. Aata tha mujhe"

With his final words, he walked over to where Niharika was already sitting. Everyone looked at him with raised eyes, then broke into a low laugh making him embarrassed and avoiding everyone's gaze.

Between all these Raahi walked beside Tritha, guiding her towards the group, she asked Raahi in curiosity. "Kaha jaa rahe hain ham vese?" Raahi looked at her with a calm expression, she pointed towards the group just a few steps away.

"There, they are my friends... Chalo, they will definitely like you.." she encouraged walking towards the group.

Before she could further walk Tritha's gaze found Arsh in between, she immediately stopped Raahi from going ahead, she frowned turning back to see her drained expression. "Kya hua?"

She shook her head, eyes fixed on the group— especially at Arsh. She looked at Raahi, shaking her head. "No— I mean.. I can meet them some other day.." she awkwardly laughed making Raahi suspicious, "but–"

Tritha tightened her grip around her hand, "umm— I mean mujhe socially active hone mein problem hoti hain... so.. I mean.."

Raahi looked at her in confusion, "but you said naa ki tum debates and all mein participate karti thi purane school mein, what happened.." her eyes drifted towards the group and then back at her, "Arsh and Vedansh bhi hain vaha.. You already know them, atleast meet everyone once.. Woh sare ache hain trust me you will feel like home.."

Tritha nodded nervously, her voice trembling, "yeah I know.. But.. it's just that—"

"Oee! Tu vaha kya kar rahi hain Raahi, aaja!!" Anusha who noticed them, called.

Raahi nodded, she held Tritha's hand— firm yet comforting. "Bula rahi hain didi hame, chalo trust me kuch nahi hoga.. Aur main hoon na.." she rubbed the back of her hand, ".. if you feel uncomfortable ham pakka aa jayenge"

She looked into her eyes, they were calm and reassuring her in every possible way— she nodded looking at her, the nervousness inside her was still there but it was slowly slipping away. "Let's go" she whispered as a faint smile broke through her lips.

Raahi smiled softly, she held her hand and guided it towards the group. They all looked at her and passed her a warm smile.

Shivika looked at her, "hi di!!" she exclaimed in excitement. Raahi smiled, "hi baccha.."

"You know apne kitna kuch miss kar diya abhi.." Shivika started, she pointed at Ivaan, "isne pata hain abhi condolence ko condomlens bol diya tha"

"What?" Tritha and Raahi exclaimed.

"Haan!"

Ivaan passed her an annoyed look. He looked at Raahi, "yaar didi aap iski mat suno ye toh kuch bhi bolti hain.." he further cleared with full confidence. "Vese bhi main toh inn sab ki knowledge check kar raha tha.. Smart toh main bachpan se hoon!"

"Haan peeche se!!" Aina and Shivika admitted, making everyone nod and laugh.

Tritha who was nervous to come here, her nerves were slowly calming down before she looked around at everyone until her eyes landed on Arsh who was looking in her direction only. They both instantly looked away.

"Aap school mein kyun aaye ho vese?" Raahi asked Niharika, she met her gaze and replied in annoyance. "Yaar mein toh 11th ka report card lene aayi thi ghar pe nahi mila mujhe fir school aayi toh aab mujhe Verma sir nahi mil rahe.."

She nodded. Ivaan looked at Tritha beside her, he asked, curious. "Aur aap?" pointing at her.

Their gaze shifted to her, they looked at her in curiosity. Tritha looked at them, a faint smile plastered on her lips but her mind was somewhere else— she was continuously stealing glances at Arsh, her eyes filled with desperation and guilt but she focused on everyone's curious eyes.

Raahi standing beside her squeezed her hand— encouraging. "It will be okay.."

Tritha met her gaze barely focusing on anything but she nodded, straightened herself slightly before she spoke, "hi, I am Tritha.. Nice to meet you all.."

Shivika was the first one to extend her hand, a playful grin played on her lips, cheeks lifting up. "Hi!! I am Shivika. Welcome to GPA!!"

Tritha took her hand, her brows raised— she asked in confusion. "GPA? Isn't it called CGPA?"

Shivika shook her head, she explained. "Aree nahi, GPA means— Girly Pop Association, it's our group's name.. Aap number dena main add kar dungi yaa sweetu di kar degi!"

"Sweetu di?" Tritha asked, Raahi nudged her elbow, and replied. "She calls me sweetu.."

Shivika nodded, Ivaan stood up with full confidence like he owns the world, he extended his hand, "myself, Ivaan Mathur, leader of Taapu sena and BJP.. Naam toh suna hi hoga"

Kaavish rolled his eyes, "haan pagal ho rahi hain na tera naam sunne ke liye woh" he playfully slapped his shoulders before introducing himself, "hey, Kaavish here.. Welcome to the pagal gang"

Tritha laughed, nodding. "Nice to meet you too.." she paused for a second before asking, "but what do you mean by BJP.. and Taapu sena.."

Ivaan jumped in before anyone could reply, "aree, BJP means 'Baddie Janta Party' because according to Shivika sari ladkiya baddies hain and Taapu sena ladko ka group hain so welcome"

"Baddie janta party?" she asked in pure confusion. Niharika wrapped her arm around Tritha's shoulders. "Tension mat le todhe din mein sab samajh aa jayega.. By the way I am Niharika, Shaarv aur Ivaan ki badi behen.."

She nodded, Shaarv let out a slow breath,he passed her a small smile before he introduced, "I am Shaarv" his voice, calm and steady.

"Mummy of the group" Kaavish declared. "Aeee!!" Shaarv yelped, Shivika instantly protested, "kya bhaiya kuch bhi mat boliye, ye kya baat hui.. Aap ese kese bol sakte hain unko?"

Shaarv rubbed the bridge of his nose while everyone rolled their eyes, "wah party badal di itni jaldi" Kaavish accused.

Shivika's cheeks turned instantly red, she avoided his gaze. "Kaha.. kaha party badli"

Kaavish grinned, clearly enjoying it. "Tere texts aur saare secrets hain–"

"Chup raho na bhaiya!!" she groaned, hiding her face away.

Tritha looked at them in confusion while everyone chuckled, passing her a teasing look at her flustered face except Shaarv— who just looked at her, almost resigned and confused.

Slowly everyone introduced themselves with a warm and welcoming gesture, until her eyes found Arsh who was blankly staring into her with a blank face and hurt that was buried under his gaze.

After a whole minute of them staring at eachother, unnoticed from the group when Ivaan suddenly admitted looking at Tritha, "aap na bade sahi din aaye ho aaj pata hain apne school mein c*nd*ms mile hain"

Everyone froze, Shaarv choked in the air looking away due to embarrassment. Niharika was the first one to chime in excitement, "HEINNN sahi mein!!"

"Haan." He confirmed that it's the most casual thing in the world.

Tritha shook Raahi, "ye kab huaa?" She whispered with a horrified expression on her face.

"Nahi pata" she blankly replied.

Shaarv was the first one to speak— his voice shaky and embarrassed as he tried to justify it. "ye.. ye.... Kya bol raha hain tu.. esa... esa.. kuch nahi hua.."

Ashwin joined into the justification. "Haan vahi.."

"Ha..haan aur tujhe ye sab bakwaas kon bata raha hain.." Shaarv scolded, trying hard to close this topic as soon as possible.

"Kya?" Ivaan shrugged— confused.

Ashwin explained, "are yahi.. esa kuch nahi hua.. pagal mat bana sabko" Shaarv nodded— trying hard to hide the shyness and embarrassment written over his face.

Ivaan rolled his eyes, declared, "mujhe kya bol rahe ho..." he pointed at Shivika, ".. ye isne bataya mujhe toh! Fir pata laga bags kyu check ho rahe hain aaj"

Everyone's eyes snapped at Shivika who now shifted uncomfortably under their gazes, especially when she noticed— Shaarv looking at her blankly. She gulped.

"Shivi.." Ashwin sighed.

She almost ignored him, slapping Ivaan's arm, she glanced at Shaarv. "Kaju.. ye.. ye gadha jhoot bol Raha hain..esa kuch nahi bola mene inko"

"Haww!!" Both Ivaan and Aina's jaws dropped at the audacity.

Ivaan accused. "Ye jhooth bol rahi hain.. sach mein isi ne aake bataya.."

Aina nodded, agreeing. "Yahi bata rahi hame toh!" Shivika sharply glared at them silently begging them to stop as she pointed at Shaarv from the side of her eye.

He noticed, ofcourse he did. He quietly asked— still embarrassed and shy. "Shivika did you?"

She scratched her head, registration written all over her face, "Kaju..woh sach baat hi hain... aab sun liya tha hamne jab staff room se bahar aa rahe the.. upar se vice-discipline bhi hain toh bag check karne ke liye sir ne jo baccho jaisa bahana diya... so I thought of investigating.." her voice low as she explained, awkwardly.

"Why did you tell them about the co— I mean all these...?" Shaarv awkwardly asked— his face completely red.

Ashwin clicked his tongue, "it was nothing—"

Kaavish rolled his eyes, "ho gaya dono ka?"

"Tu chup reh yaar bacche hain ye log aur–" Shaarv protested, making Kaavish roll his eyes.

"Haan toh, reproduction padha hain sabne hi.." he looked at them casually announcing. "..haan mile the condoms washroom se baki ka hame nahi pata but this is true.."

No one spoke for a whole minute, Niharika spoke in a miserable voice— almost sulking. "Yaar tum log ka kitna sahi hain, roz kuch na kuch ho jata hain kaash mein jab school mein thi tab hota ye sab"

Everyone stared at her blankly before Shaarv spoke in a shaky shy voice. "Didi hesitate school mein hain ham" Ashwin nodded, looking at everyone equally as shy and embarrassed as Shaarv. "School mein toh atleast he sab mat bolo koi..."

They all groaned except Tritha who was still processing the information and Raahi who was equally like both of them. "Yaar school mein hi sikhate hain ye sab tum dono bhi itna sharmate kyun ho! Vese bhi fu—"

"Didi!!!!" They both yelped, ears burning.

Niharika rolled her eyes, she murmured. "Sach bhi hazam nahi hota ek toh!! Kabhi na kabhi toh shaddi hogi hi"

Ivaan clicked his tongue, he groaned. "Main toh kabse ready hoon bhagwan jane meri kab turn ayegi.."

Everyone narrowed their eyes but Aina laughed clutching her stomach. "Tujhse kon shaddi karega din mein sapne dekh raha hain kya.."

Niharika joined her, she checked his forehead to check if he had a fever or not. "Beta sapne mat dekha karo ese.. Paap chad jayega pure Kul ko agar kisi se shaddi karwa di hamne toh.."

Ivaan's brows knitted, his jaw dropped as he looked around to find his friends laughing. He spat out looking at Aina, "jalti hain na tu mujhse?"

She scoffed, "top floor khali hain kya, terese kon jale"

"Mendak kahi ki tu na zubaan mat chalaya kar!" Ivaan snapped, taking a step towards her. She didn't back up, just stepped closer glaring at him. "Aur tu nevla!"

Suddenly the whole environment where everyone was just a while ago— laughing and teasing eachother was turned into their battleground.

"Tu bhes!!" he snapped. She instantly retorted, "aur tu saand!!"

Without missing a beat he shot back loudly, "aur tu gadhe ki—" but before he could everyone yelled. "Aeeeeeeee!!"

"Abbe oo!!"

"Pagal hain kya?" Revaan exclaimed. Shaarv instantly stepped in, he pulled him towards himself, "subah hi samjhaya men dobara shuru ho gaya!"

"Aree—" Kaaya cuts him off, "kya areee.. Kuch bhi matlab?"

Kaavish shrugged, "control bhai tumhari zubaan fisal gayi toh hamara hath bhi pisalega terepe.."

Niharika tightly slapped his head, "ghar chal tu!!" she warned, making him shrink under their gazes. His eyes then found the rest of the group looking at him, Arsh and Vedansh smirking. Raahi and Tritha were staring at him in amusement.

Then his eyes shifted to Aina and Shivika who were shamelessly trying hard to control their laughs. "Gaadari Karbe" he thought, glaring at them.

...

The last period's bell rang through the empty corridor and in an instant it was filled with the hurried lines passing through there. Some walking out in pairs, others in a group, somewhere in the far teachers scolding the students to make a proper line.

Anusha was walking beside Ashwin through the ground as they made their way towards the gate. His gaze fixed on her, as she was giggling and animatedly telling him about her day.

"..Ashu, you know fir woh bacchi aati hain aur usne pucha ki 'didi washroom kaha hain' toh mene usse girls washroom ka bola.. Baad mein jab mein class mein aa gayi toh Kritika batati hain ki woh ladka tha..." she chuckled, slapping her head, "kitni pagal thi yaar mein, how could I not notice such a basic thing..."

He smiled, then broke into a low laugh. "It's okay.. Sometimes it happens.. Itna kuch nahi hua aur chote bacche sare ek jaise dikhte hain so don't worry.."

She looked at him, then smiled. "Yaar you are so understanding.." he chuckled, "at your service mam." he smoothly and playfully said bowing down slightly.

She laughed, playfully punching his arm, "pagal kahi ka—" she suddenly stopped her tracks as her gaze drifted towards the slightly open braid, Ashwin stopped, his eyes narrowed. "Kya hua?"

She pouted slightly, holding her braid, sulking, "yaar I again lost my ribbon and hair.. Ahhh mummy maregi!!"

He looked at the open end of her braid, then back to her worried and sulking expression. "Kuch nahi hoga.."

She frowned looking at him, "tu kabhi-kabhi aata hain, main daily rehti hoon, iss week ka dursa rubber band tha ye" she complained, her shoulders stumbled.

He smiled, calmly replied. "Kuch nahi hoga chalo toh bhar school ke atleast.."

Her brows knitted, she looked at him in confusion but he passed her a pleading look, mimicking in her voice but badly failing, "pretty please.."

Anusha's worried expression softened as she laughed, hitting him playfully, "kitna bura hain tu.." she shot in between her laughs and started to walk out while holding the braid.

Ashwin followed until they both walked out of the school and stood under the shed of a tree, she looked at him, "abb bol.."

He sighed, before putting his hands inside one of the pockets and pulling out a red rubber band and a small part of red ribbon out there in his hand.

He opened his hand in front of her, "here, you dropped these in the ground so I picked them up.."

"But these are new.." she interrupted, picking them up. He instantly shook his head, convincing her. "I really picked them up.. They were a bit dirty so I cleaned them.. Th–they are not new.." his voice hurried— firm and convincing.

She looked up at him, before she picked them up, shrugging her shoulders, "aree chill dur se laga vesa but thanks utha lene ke liye.." she chuckled, completely unbothered as she joked. "..varna mummy sahi mein marti"

He exhaled quietly, the nervousness slipping off his body, thankful that Anusha didn't catch him lying. He would have been a clear fool who carried an extra rubber band and ribbon because she loses them frequently, it was almost a simple gesture he did for her.

He just laughed, as watched her tying them up around her hair with a soft and affectionate smile, waiting for her to finish. She then fixed her hair, unaware of the fact that someone just came undone even at the simplest gestures she did. "Chal!" she said looking at him.

"Chaliye madam ji" he chuckled while walking beside her.

They both walked all the way to him, she was walking on the other side of the road animatedly yapping and ranting while he walked beside her on the right side of the road— almost a protective gesture, hands shoved in pocket as he calmly listened to her throughout the way back home.
